Join Barr Transportation LLC as a School Bus Fleet Tech / Mechanic in Elkridge, MD, where your skills will ensure the safety and reliability of our school bus fleet. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of school buses.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize fleet performance.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep the workshop organized and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in fleet maintenance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics.
  • Valid driver's license; valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, or willing to obtain. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in fleet maintenance.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
Compensation: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
